Exhausted, fire-fighting and not able to help how you’d like to?

(and a Teacher just burst into your office to tell you that half of year 9
are refusing to go to lesson- again)

Then you are invited to:

Hosted by Adele Bates, Author of  “Miss, I don’t give a sh*t”

The community for Behaviour Leads to re-connect to impactful, successful leadership in Behaviour and Education

Are you:

‘In charge’ of Behaviour in your school or college?

You could be an Assistant Headteacher (AHT), Governor, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), Head, Head of Year, Head of Wellbeing, Pastoral Lead etc..

Looking for:

Support

A community of fellow educators in similar roles

Quick strategies to put out the behaviour fires

Best practice examples and case studies on behaviour from across the globe

A supportive space to ask those questions that you feel you-‘should’-already-know in your role

So that you can be the Education Leader that you meant to be…meeting pupils’ learning needs, removing their barriers, helping them to engage successfully in the world, inspiring the next generation to make a positive contribution to society

(that one you dreamed of being as a little child yourself…lined up, teaching cuddley toys anyone?!)

The Behaviour Lead Mastermind is a one of a kind online space, that meets every half term (6 weeks, British term time).

Expect:

Solution-focused practical answers to the conundrums you’ve been battling over whilst trying to manage and motivate your staff with behaviour…

Space to lean into support yourself, in order to lead effectively and successfully with behaviour for your staff and pupils

Inspiration from the latest innovative pedagogy that supports the pupils we have now in a post-lockdown-shaped world

Why every 6 weeks? – I know that you’re a busy person – to say the least! Whilst we might *intend* to seek support more regularly, in reality, this needs to fit around everything else.

SO you can send your questions in at any time to me, come live to the sessions whenever possible (be feeding your cat/waiting for ballet pick up or cooking your dinner if needs be!) and get answers in these high-impact sessions.

You’re not alone in this.

The pressures of being stuck in the middle between top-down expectations, and front-line staff turning to you for answers, can be a frustrating, exhausting place to be in.

Before you know it, you’re only ever spending time putting out the behaviour fire (hopefully a metaphor) that’s in front of you, whilst the positive vision for behaviour improvement gets lost in a dusty pile of your behaviour policy draft (which you just remembered was saved on the old system’s IT system – damn!)…

You know the theory, you know you want your school to be an inclusive place for all of your pupils and staff to thrive…and yet…and yet…you lost your weekend working and only managed lunch once this week – you were covering detentions.

It isn’t just you.

The Behaviour Lead Mastermind is a supportive, inclusive space for you to re-charge, reflect and get some quick answers for year 9 tomorrow…

Meet Adele

I support 100s of school leaders with behaviour each year across Britain and further afield every year. I see the negative impact challenging behaviour has on our work force – and the pressure put upon those who are ‘responsible’ for behaviour across an organisation or school, who are often given little time, support or resources to try and make a positive impact.

I also know that there are sustainable approaches and strategies to schoolwide behaviour that can transform how we empower staff to support some of our most vulnerable young people with behaviour and SEMH needs. Approaches that enable all of our pupils to thrive with their education…AND leaving you time to eat lunch occasionally…”

What’s included?

  • 6 online 1hr 30 min sessions over the academic year (one per half term)
  • Sharing of best practice with schoolwide approaches to behaviour from around the globe
  • Q & A sections to get ideas and feedback on your specific situation and setting
  • Case studies of best (and worst) practice in behaviour
  • Connect with others in similar roles
  • These sessions will happen over Zoom and will be recorded.
