“This is exactly the book all educationalists need to read. Bringing together an amazing group of wellbeing experts, The Big Book of Whole School Wellbeing provides invaluable guidance at the time we need it most.  As education looks to the future, here is a tool we can all use to lead well, educate well, learn well, engage well and include well.”

During the first lockdown, you may have remembered that I became a founding member of The Education Wellbeing Collective – EdWellColl;  a group of educators, consultants and small business owners who are passionate about supporting the wellbeing of staff and pupils through the global coronavirus pandemic and beyond…

…one of the brilliant things to have come out of this, is a PRACTICAL, USEFUL book all about how-to-actually-do-wellbeing.

I am thrilled to contribute two chapters to the book:

LGBTQ+ Pupils, Staff & Wellbeing

Wellbeing – what SEMH Schools, PRUs and APs do really well, and how it can help all schools

Despite many school leaders and teaching and non-teaching staff working hard to support children’s and their own wellbeing, more needs to be done. This book provides you with the necessary tools and strategies to navigate your way through the changing educational landscape and shape the schools of the future. Written by a diverse range of experts in the field, it explores how all school staff can support their own, their colleagues’ and their students’ wellbeing, how leaders can lead well and be well, and the importance of relationships within the entire school community to promote personal, academic and professional flourishing.

This book will make you think and take you out of your comfort zone. It will inspire discussions and support you – whatever your role in school is – to bring positive change to school policy and culture.

With 26 contributors, the book is separated into:

  • Lead Well
  • Educate Well
  • Learn Well
  • Engage Well
  • Include Well
